Confidentiality

Material discussed in any therapy session is fully confidential with some important limits. The therapist may not disclose personal information about the client to any party without the client’s written permission. Except in important instances of which clients should be aware. Texas state law requires that mental health professionals contact appropriate authorities if there is suspected child abuse, elder abuse, dependent adult abuse, or if the client indicates a real and immediate intention of committing suicide or homicide. In addition, I could be required by law to release your file if subpoenaed by a court of law.

Some insurance companies require a release of confidential information in order to evaluate coverage. You and your therapist should discuss the possible consequences of such releases. This potential violation of confidentiality is more problematic for in network providers; Therefore, I will file claims with your insurance company as an out-of-network provider, thereby avoiding situations in which the privilege of therapist-client confidentiality may be called into question.

Fees & Method of Payment

Clients pay at the end of each session. The fees are $175 for a 50 minute session and $265 for a 1.5 hour session. Personal checks, credit cards and cash are accepted.

Insurance and Managed Care:

I am not a participating provider for any insurance companies. If you have mental health insurance that covers our sessions I will provide information for you at the end of each month so that you may file your own claim for reimbursement. To protect your confidentiality, I stay uninvolved with insurance companies, however, I will assist you with filing your claim.

Directions to Office

Directions to Office if coming from the north:

Take 281 South to Hildebrand.
Go left on Hildebrand for approximately ½ mile to Broadway.
Turn right on Broadway.

Go about ¼ block to the Boardwalk, a little strip center on the right side of Broadway. (If you get to the Witte Museum you have gone too far.) Although the address, 4057 Broadway, sounds really easy, it is more confusing than it sounds because 4057 is my suite number and is not visible from Broadway. This little strip center/business park is right next door to the SBC office building (a 7 story building) at the corner of Broadway and Hildebrand.

Drive into this center and drive to the back. I am in the last building. The number (4057) is on the door and so is my name.

Directions if coming from the south:

Take 281 North to Hildebrand.
Go right on Hildebrand for approximately ½ mile to Broadway.
Turn right on Broadway.
